Even before, the release of the Tamil film ‘Mariyadhai’ starring Vijayakanth the remake rights has been sold for the Kannada. Dr. Vishnuvardhana is playing the father and son role of what Vijayakanth is doing in the original. Meera Jasmine and Ambika are in the Tamil version of director Vikraman.

H.A. Rehman has acquired the rights for Kannada and it is from the same director Vikraman he acquired ‘Vanathaipola’ that became a huge hit as ‘Yajamana’ in Kannada. Dr. Vishnuvardhana played father and son in ‘Yajamana’ and he is repeating it in this remake bearing a different concept.

‘Mariyadhai’ is titled as ‘Dodmanushya’ in Kannada and will be directed by S. Narayan. The combination of Dr. Vishnuvardhana and S. Narayan has worked wonders in number of films in the past like ‘Simhadriya Simha’, ‘Suryavamsha’, ‘Varsha’, ‘Sirivantha’ and ‘Jamindarru’. In the same line, this family entertainer ‘Dodmanushya’ is expected to reap success.
